Homework  - Homework will be given every night and must be fully completed and turned in on time.  If homework is not turned in on time OR is not completed properly, you will be required to attend homework club.  You are required to write down your homework in your school organizer BEFORE you leave class. If you have any questions about the homework, you need to see me BEFORE you leave school; “I didn’t understand,” is not a valid excuse the day an assignment is due.

Classwork- You need to complete and participate in all class assignments, activities, and discussions.  If you miss class for any reason, you need to see me and make up the missed work.  The following will be considered part of class work:

·         Binder checks-- All work and supplemental readings/materials need to be kept and organized in your binder in a separate social studies binder.  A “Table of Contents” will be required.  Your work will be filed at the end of each unit in the classroom and brought out for review when needed.  Binder checks will be given periodically.

·         Do Now--This activity will be done on Week Sheets that you will be given each Monday.

·         Class Participation-- Class participation is required.  Students should always be prepared for class, ready to start when the bell rings, begin the Do Now as soon as the bell rings, complete it with their best effort, fully participate, and be attentive during all class discussions and activities.
